Sun-apple Jozo Japan
Product description

With fresh apple aroma and floral aroma derived from acacia barrels, it has a clean taste with a slight French oak sweetness and lingering aftertaste. We named it EARLY BIRD because it came out of the barrel a little early as a brandy. We recommend that you enjoy this product slowly and straight, well chilled, in order to experience the flavors that open up with changes in temperature and exposure to the air.

Professional Review

""Aromas like apples with skin sautéed in butter. Then dried grapes, semi-dried persimmons, and smoky richness lingering on the palate. There is a freshness and fruity attack not found in French Calvados. Beyond the sharpness of the alcohol, bewitching sweetness and complex aromatics await, and the quality is so high that it is hard to believe it is from Japan. Great to drink straight or on the rocks.""

Pairing Suggestion: Soufflé, grape, almond tart, bread with cream, mimolette cheese

""Initially there is a strong smell of vaporizing alcohol at the start of the pour, but gradually caramelized apples, bitter chocolate, white spices, black tea, and oaky aromas swell. The flavor is fresh, strong and straight. Drinking on the rocks or straight at room temperature is recommended. It is also good to try mixing it with amber beer or other beers.""

Pairing Suggestion: Custard pie, pork belly and asparagus confit
